@User: That's an interesting way to go about it. I know there is some major issue, though, that I need to debug. Tentatively, it looks like maybe the "equiv" lines in the .ext file, which are a lot like "merge" lines, are being completely ignored, which is leading to lots of issues. It could be something else, but it's certainly true that nodes that are marked "killnode" in the .res.ext file are showing up in the output, as well as causing devices to get deleted from the output.
