I have received the MPW 2 chips, the caravel board and nucleo board. I wanted to test the chips and was wondering how do I mount the chips onto the caravel board. Do I need to get them wire bonded and have some sort of socket arrangement ? Or do I need to place them on the existing U1 location(highlighted) mentioned in the 2nd image. @mehdi

My understanding is that we were able to get the boards assembled with the spring pins, and were shipping both the evaluation board and the daughterboards. @jeffdi: Can you confirm that?

Exactly, we place the white caravel board onto caravel hat board using the spring pins, just give a smooth press to the caravel board after placing it in between the spring pins.

I have been able to place the white caravel board onto the black board using the spring pins. What I was asking was how to place the chips onto the white caravel board and test it.

Im sorry, yes they have provided us multiple white boards with the chips bonded there, but the other chips shown in the image needed to be bonded by us accordingly, as you said, I guess.

Are you aware of the orientation in which the chips have to be placed ? Pg 27 on caravel datasheet does have the wiring diagram. But it just says view from top and in absence of any identification mark like notch, its tough to distinguish say between A1 and F10
