Hi all! Not really sure where to ask getting started questions, but this has an analog flavor so I'm asking here. I'm setting up an environment to do analog design with sky130 and mostly following this (https://github.com/bluecmd/learn-sky130/blob/main/schematic/xschem/getting-started.md) guide. I noticed there is an updated version of
gaw3
from this year. Is it advisable to use the newest version or the one from the guide? Thanks!

@Stefan Schippers has his own forked version of
gaw
that is integrated in various ways with xschem. At the time he did development work on his fork, it appeared that no development work on
gaw
had been done for years. I don't know what's up with
gaw3
but Stefan may know something about it.

@Sam Ellicott (@Tim Edwards) I have merged in some time ago the gaw3-20220315 changes, so you can just use xschem-gaw. It is a bug fix only.

Thanks!
