@User I wanted to test the second method where you put your GDS II into the

gds

directory and run

make

at

caravel

. However this is what I got. PS: I have not made any changes whatsoever in the caravel directory. Every file is untouched.

That is when you do it in the caravel toplevel directory. "cd openlane" and "make" will build through the openlane flow.

That's when you run through OPENLANE. However there is another option which requires a GDS insertion, for that you

make

in the top directory.
