The folder caravel/openlane/user_project_wrapper_empty doesn't exist with either caravel or caravel lite installed through caravel_user_project tag mpw-3. The user_project_wrapper config.tcl refers to files at this location. Would like some advice.

I found two solutions in my case, or use a more updated openlane tag, or use caravel ( not caravel-lite) and rename the user_project_wrappe inside caravel to user_project_wrappe_empty. Both solutions work for me

So the intended usage is to cobble together whatever gives a gds and passes precheck yourself rather than some baseline for the particular submission?

That's mpw3a which is the last formally announced toolchain setup
