Hello all, I have layed out Mosfets with length L in series to realize a transistor of length L/2 and in schematics i have used a single transistor. How to pass out lvs? Because if I lay out transistors in parallel i was able to use merge command. Is there any such command for this. Thank you in advance.

@User The netgen setup file is set to merge transistors in parallel but not in series. Can you modify the schematic to match the layout?

Ok @User.

Transistors don't combine in series like that, which is why series combination is never enabled for transistors in an LVS setup file.

@User, unless you know what you're doing ... http://madvlsi.olin.edu/bminch/talks/casbiasckt.pdf (but an automated LvS doesn't know if you know what you're doing)

I did specify "don't combine _like that_", meaning it's not a simple series combination, and although it would work like a series combination, due to the nonlinearity of the transistor function, it's not equivalent to multiplying the length by two. So such a structure should be represented exactly in a schematic so that it both simulates correctly, and passes LVS.
