@User: How recent is your installation of the PDK from open_pdks? The PDK is supposed to add an ID layer to the PNP cell that identifies it as the 3.4um cell, which causes it to extract as the correct device type. If you don't want to reinstall everything, you can just paint the layer "pnp3p40" over the area of the base. Make sure that your techfile for magic is recent enough that it defines the layer "pnp3p40".
