Can we use other technology like tsmc Or umc with magic?
t
If there's a technology file available. . . The problem is that most foundries don't support magic, and I can't post technology files for proprietary processes. I have a nice arrangement with X-Fab, but I have not been able to duplicate that with any other fondriy. The original MOSIS SCMOS technology files are mostly compatible with TSMC, but the GDS layer numbers are different because MOSIS always did some kind of translation before submitting to TSMC. But apart from the GDS layer numbers, it (e.g., SCN6ME) would produce output largely compatible with TSMC.

@User, thank you. I have access to technology file, that made me think to use it with magic, seems that's not good idea if technology doesn't support magic. Also what advance tech nodes supported by magic tool other than sky130, freepdk, SCMOS?

I have tech files for X-Fab XH035 and XH018 (I wouldn't call those "advanced nodes", though) that I can distribute through an agreement with X-Fab (requires an NDA with X-Fab; X-Fab confirms the NDA, then I can send the tech files). There is a tech file for Global Foundries 180nm available through the Efabless platform. All other tech files can't be distributed due to foundry prohibitions.
