@User, @User raises an interesting question here. Would you recommend using pre-created OpenRAM macros of standard sizes, or recommend each project build macros to fit the needs of their project. I assume there are pros/cons to each approach.

Right now I would recommend the prebuilt. I can build more options as people need them to iron out more issues

Thanks, @Matthew Guthaus. Is there significant hand effort in the extraction/characterization, or just compute time? I'm looking at implementing a version of OpenPiton (multi-core design with coherent L2 interconnect), and the memories appear to be quite wide (eg 128-bit data path).

An 8-bit macro of any size (preferably 1kB) would be on my wishlist if you and your computer have some spare cycles
