Sorry if this has been answered before; I know we have some Openlane MPW tapeouts that have gone out, and there is a commitment that the designs should be open sourced. Do we have any designs that have come back from fab and validated to work, and if so where are the repos for them? I think it would be valuable to highlight these so that people can refer to them in their own designs, especially if the automatic scripting is in place to generate them. Thanks in advance!

The repositories are all listed on the efabless site. Just be aware that the first MPW has not come back from manufacture yet, so there are not any measured results for now.

Thanks for your reply! I thought there was a recent announcement that there was a Sky130 RISC-V tapeout that had come back? Is that a closed source design?

@Tim Edwards I believe @taylor-bsg is referring to the test chip that you made before mpw-one. Was that design created using the openlane flow and is it open source?
t
No, it's not open source. We did that tape-out to understand the technology and the cell libraries, but had not yet done the PDK conversion to open source, so we were working with proprietary files given to us by SkyWater. In spite of not being open source, there is nothing special in it. It's all stuff that went into the caravel chip eventually.
