@User when drawing your schematic are you defining w/l with a u suffix? As in if you want a width of 5u are you writing 5u or just 5? Annoyingly, the PDK applies a scale option as you stated such that you should be writing 5 rather than 5u. I've not run into the error you're seeing so I'm just wondering if that might be your issue.

I am writing 5 instead of 5u. There is default scaling in the PDK
