Looking at the OpenLane latest rc, despite being only ~ 6 days old, I can't help but notice that the readme calls for a PDK commit from like 1.5 month ago which is quite outdated given the speed at which it moves ...

There has been an ongoing issue with the pdk https://github.com/google/skywater-pdk/issues/172 along with this older issue https://github.com/google/skywater-pdk/issues/141, but the two have been finally resolved last week. I'm running some tests on my end and we should be moving to the HEAD of open_pdks and skywater-pdk in a day or two. I'm doing that in this branch along with some related stuff. Also, this could give a more detailed answer on why we didn't shift right away after these issues were fixed.
