Hi All,
I have recently installed xschem on Ubuntu 64bit, I have allotted 150GB SATA, 8GB RAM, and 8 GB graphics memory. I have linked Xcshem to skywater130. Xschem is really slow on my system. Zooming in and out in the schematic is taking a lot of time. Can anybody suggest any possible solution for the same.
Thanks

Are you using a virtual machine ? like VirtualBox or WSL ? Xschem is a very small program so there are no special memory requirements. If it is slow there is some problem with the graphic adapter (real or virtual).

Yes, I am using a virtual machine. I have provided 8 GB of graphics memory.

Issue fixed. Disabling this "Accelerate 3D Graphics" fixed it.
Thanks

@Pratyush Saxena Interesting. Yes, xschem is not a 3D application, on most systems xschem runs faster with no gpu acceleration at all.
Just for information what virtual machine application are you using? so I can suggest this fix for other users that report the same speed issues. Thanks

Thanks for the information. I am using VMware player.
