Hello all, is there a zener device available in sky130? I saw a layer mentioning it in the documentation (areaid.zr) , but not a device model. Otherwise, is there an easy way to generate one using components from the sky130 lib?

What is the intended operation of the Zener(diode)? Creating a reference voltage or some kind of voltage limiter?

@Jorge Marin: I too have seen the references to a zener diode in the documentation but there is no device model or layout.

As far as I know, standard CMOS processes don't offer a zener diode layer combination. Or, at least, foundries don't spend time trying to characterize a combination of standard layers that would produce a good zener.

I assume that this has something to do with zener zapping, used with antifuses for PROM (see “antifuse” in Wikipedia).
