Just to note, the prechecker runs "select top cell," followed by "drc style drc(full)." Apparently drc(full) isn't the default setting in Magic, which is why the prechecker flags many more violations (in my case thousands more). Also "select top cell" needs to be done first before manually setting drc(full), otherwise it won't catch the DRC errors.
