@User: I'm wondering if it is doing a string match on the root part and ignoring the extension. If you changed your filenames to, e.g., "sram_2_16_scn4m_subm_sch.spice" and "sram_2_16_scn4m_subm_lay.spice", does it work? If so, I have a better idea where to find the problem.
