@User that's true, but in this case, I was looking how things are implemented in OpenRAM and bitcells seemed to be loaded from gds, based on my superficial understanding. Plus I thought it was a good exercise to learn magic, which was straightforward. In any case, having designed a bitcell, it's easy for me to see how to implement it using the OpenRAM ptx infrastructure, as @User suggests.
