Hello all, I need to create a small Ion trap. An Ion trap is just a bunch of electrodes (without the need of any active element as transistors). Would it be possible to use the OpenPDK chain tools and fabrication process to build one opensource microfabricated ion trap with the following design principal : . As you can see it's just like some simple track PCB layout. I would like to know on which layer of the Klayout I need to use to draw only electrical wire. For the moment, I think the LI layer is the good one. The interest of OpenPDK tool chain and 130 nm fabrication process is that I will be able to create small tiny electrodes with tiny gap between them and that would be perfect for my project of Ion trap.
