@User Will there be a layer that we can use to put a hole in the polyamide to expose the passivation if we want to, and can we then put holes in the passivation if we want? That would be great where we foresee the need for probe points that can't be done through a mux to a pin. IMO the hardest part for a hobbyist to probe stuff would be removing the passivation without having access to a pulsed UV laser and I imagine the polyamide would only make that harder. (Assuming here that probing was foreseen and a decent sized pad >5umx5um was put in on top metal.) It could also allow those who really really want a few more optional IO pads on one sample to get them if desperate, at least for those of us with ebay wirebonders waiting to find a use...
