@User: "anyone know what the E() function does": No, not exactly, although the "dev/gauss" is for monte carlo simulation, and the value after it is presumably the standard deviation of the distribution, which would be dependent on W, L, and M. Normally the standard deviation would be multplied by 1/sqrt(L*W*M), so I would expect that somehow E(*,w) = w, but that doesn't help me know what the E() function means, exactly. What I do know is that ngspice doesn't recognize any of that at all.
