Yeah, that is true. In my opinion gaw is good enough for now for transient sims but falls down for things like ac. So my mind is going in the direction of different tools for different plots. Maybe not the cleanest, a single tool would be ideal. But for a usable flow as a stepping stone it seems plausible to me.
