That's an interesting question. I don't really know to be honest. But I don't think trying to match bipolars across the die is that common. Usually a bandgap will have some arrangement of Vbe sources tightly coupled. Voltages are often distributed by matching resistors in the bandgap to resistors elsewhere so the techniques there are more well known
