Stability analysis question: Does anyone have a method for performing open loop AC simulation whereby the simulator automatically calculates the DC operating point and then applies the AC stimulus to the feedback node offset at the dc operating point? As an example, these are the steps I've been following to date: 1. I've been closing the loop and running a DC op point sim to calculate the DC value of the feedback net. 2. I've then been breaking the loop and connecting an AC source to the feedback node with a DC offset equal to the value calculated from the DC operating point sim. in (1) Ideally, the DC op. point and AC open loop sim would all be performed automatically. IIRC Virtuoso does this by providing a

component which is inserted in the feedback path. I'd basically like to achieve that.
