Hi there, is anyone able to access xschem library device symbols directly(without explicitly creating a soft link to that devices folder in /usr/local/share/xschem_library/devices)

no. it's a container issue, xschem is not able to access directories outside of the container.

Xschem isn't able to find the symbols of devices in standard xschem library like lab_pins, launcher, etc

But then I found a workaround by creating a soft link (pointing to that devices folder) in the pdk's xschem directory

I installed gf180mcu pdk using volare
