Okay. So, my thinking is I should be able to use a hollow via layer to create a tunnel which would allow me to build out an optical circuit. I should also be able to use the via and metal layers to create a wave grate. With that, the next problem is creating an internal LED and photon detector of some kind, and once that's done it should be possible to build optical quantum circuits using the KLM protocol on sky130.
I've never fabbed a chip before in my life, all the optical quantum circuits I've built have been with off the shelf optics, so I'm not sure how feasible this actually is, but I'd like to know what you guys think about this idea
