When I do

paint pad

I get a stack of metals 1-5, but there doesn't seem to be a pad layer. Does this actually opens the passivation? @Tim Edwards

No, it does not. Use the "glass" layer in magic for the passivation cut.

Should I be able to see the glass layer?

Yes. I have marked the glass layer as "locked", which is an issue I need to address some time. Short answer is do

first, and then draw the

glass

layer.
