@Tim Edwards Our user project example STA is clean, but when we ran OpenSTA in Caravel, we got many hold violations as attached. We are wondering if there is a standard way to constrain user project example IOs to help with these violations? We are thinking of using slack margin in user project example , but that might not be so helpful. For the slow corner, many paths do not seem to be related to user project example.

That's a question for the Openlane development team. I know that for projects synthesized with Openlane, there is a margin added for timing to and from the rest of the Caravel chip.
