Is it possible to have a range of continuous resistance by using continuous SET voltage?
m
I think the SET variability is an issue. The multilevel papers try to have many discrete levels and that gets very difficult with many levels.

@User Thanks Matt, Is it possible to refer me to some of these papers? Curious to know about the idea behind multilevel. Also please note that I’m going to use continuous resistance in analog circuitry not digital, is this change anything at all?

I think they are cited in the PDK. I'd have to look
m
Yes, they are mostly by Prof. Wong at Stanford

I read through the posted documents and there were references to setting a continuous resistance range. It appears to be doable, within limits. The ReRAM layer fractures fairly slowly, so that it requires multiple pulses to push it all the way to maximum or minimum, so with feedback and pulse width control, it should be possible to hit a specific value. I just don't know how accurately you can hit that value.

@User Is it possible to share docs? Do they include implementation details?
