I (and my professor) have a general doubt, but I am not sure if it is appropriate to ask it here (also not sure if it is the right time to ask this question). Nevertheless, I think the answer to my question might be useful for someone here.
Consider a proposal is selected in the second round and chip is accepted for fabrication. When the fabricated chips are shipped to the designer's country, what will be the monetary value assigned to the product? We understand that it is done free of cost (in the Open MPW shuttle too) but if there is going to be some finite value assigned, then the designer has to pay the customs duty which will invariably a percentage of the assigned value. This tax can be extremely high in some cases. Could someone give me some clarity on this? Or could someone please let me know of any documents that give these information?
Thanks,
Booshan.
