What issues might arrise? Flash chip not supporting 3.3V -> might cause the cpu to not boot and initialize stuff, how critical is this?

09/22/2021, 2:00 AMYes, the VDDIO is specified to operate anywhere from 1.8V to 5.5V, according to SkyWater documentation.

09/22/2021, 2:03 AMThere are flash chips that will run at 1.8V. The bigger issue is the FTDI chip, because I'm not aware of any that operate at 1.8V external. But you might be able to run the board at 3.3V to do the flash programming and switch to 1.8V at runtime.
