Did somebody already manage to set a non-US-based shipping address on efabless.com as needed for finalizing the request for inclusion in the Open MPW-5 Shuttle? For me, the shipping address is automatically updated with a "State / Province" entry, which then subsequently fails with the error "Unable to validate address through our shipping provider. Code: STATEORPROVINCECODE.TOO.LONG" - I guess, the form expects two-letter US state codes. Everything that is two letters or less is automatically updated to the full (correct) name of my state, which is too long for address validation.

I have set my address to Spain and didn't have a problem

could be a new bug
@User is this in your field of expertise?

thanks

@User I got a similar error just now

but also an ok message
project 353
m
by “ok message” are you referring to the “shipping location has been updated” message?
m
yes
but then on the main page it still says not validate
image.png
m
the “shipping location has been updated” message just means you’ve successfully updated. that behavior is expected
and the “standardized address not found” message *usually means the street address was incorrect. For example, if 1234 main street doesn’t exist
m
can I ignore it then?
m
Temporarily, yes. But if the address is not validated, then the user cannot move to the next milestone of the shuttle request (i.e. they cannot confirm ‘submission’, ‘tapeout’, ‘fabrication’, etc). Entering a valid shipping address is basically a prerequisite to get on the shuttle, and this is something that Jeff emphasized recently.
m
can you provide a work around?
obviously my address is valid where I live
m
I cannot make the call on a work-around. That’s up to @User. If you want me to debug what is wrong with the FedEx api for a particular address, please DM me the address, and I will try and look into it.
