@User: I don't think so. (1) You must be using "magic -d OGL"; (2) The tech file must declare all layer heights and thicknesses (the sky130A tech file does this); (3) Load a file and select the whole cell; (4) Select menu item "Options->3D Display". (5) Manipulate the view position with the number keys 0-9. Keys "<" and ">" decrease/increase the height scaling. The interface for manipulating the view is awful; I've never had time to work on it properly. The rendering shading and transparency model could use some improvement, too. Key Shift-C toggles between a view of magic layers and a view of GDS layers, but I seem to have the "render" lines wrong in the techfile, because the GDS layer view doesn't show much.

This is pretty cool - thanks for the info. I would have thought that the layers would be in contact with each other though, they seem pretty exploded here.

Seems to be missing the contact cuts. Not sure why (I did a 3D view a while back and they were all there. . . ).

I think I know what happened. I drew the inverter with a different tech file. Then I tried to convert it to sky130 and have missed them out
this is the one from sky130
