Is there anywhere I can find an tutorial/example of magic routing with sky130?
I followed tutorial 7 on the opencircuit design website, which included some examples with SCMOS tech. But I have been unable to get routing to work between cells in this pdk.
One thing I noticed is tutorial 7 mentions that terminals should always be placed on/near the edges of cells. But most cells in the pdk do not do this. Is the tutorial out of date? Is there a different method of automated routing intended for this pdk?

If you want automated routing, you should use Openlane. Magic's autorouting is very primitive. There is an example of a mixed-signal system that was routed on the top level by Openlane. . . We are working on getting that cleaned up and will have accompanying documentation, hopefully in a week or two.

Okay thanks for clarifying. I think I will be able to get by with manual routing for my current project, which is very simple.
I was also interested in the interactive router. I gave it a shot, but it gives an error that seems to say the interactive router was not set up for this technology.

Are you using the "wiring tool" (type the space bar to go from the box tool to the wiring tool). Left mouse button selects a material to extend, then the middle mouse button completes a segment. Use shift + left or right mouse button to place a via and move up or down one metal layer, respectively.

Oh I must have missed that about the via placement. That will speed things up. Thanks!
