Do any of the sky130 open cell libraries have a DICE latch, or does anyone know if libraries for other processes (SCMOS?) have a DICE cell?
y
I would be very surprised but @FatsieFS may have something to say on the subject

@Sam Dietrich Don't know any open library with a DICE latch. I don't plan to add it myself either. Unless you need radiation hardness you just loose a bunch of area so it is only for niche applications. And if you do care about radiation hardness there are a lot of other things missing in the open tool chain(s).

Thanks for the reply @FatsieFS! by other missing things do you mean rhbd cell features like guard rings or steps actually missing from the openlane flow? What are those steps?
y
@Sam Dietrich are you planning to use it for space applications? Particle acceleraters?
s
I’m currently thinking about space applications mainly

@Sam Dietrich In my previous professional life I co-authored an ESA handbook on radiation hardened design techniques: http://microelectronics.esa.int/asic/ECSS-Q-HB-60-02A1September2016.pdf This gives an overview of a lot of techniques for radiation hardened design. It goes too far to go in detail here but for example for digital design using DICE based flipflops but not hardening your IO cells or clock tree will still make your final design radiation sensitive.
