@User: Great advice! How ever did you find that solution? I did discover a note to myself from earlier which claims that I could get it to install by switching from CentOS 6 to CentOS 7, but since CentOS 6 was used for a reason, I figured I would run into some kind of issue with CentOS 7 eventually. But the "vsyscall" thing worked, so I guess I'm good to go now.
