I was looking at CELL PAD and how it effects the width of the standard cell. I did a quick comparison with different values on

. My question is which value is recommended on which design? How should I decide the value of CELL_PAD? @User

@Wajeh ul hasan: The cells are padded to provide some routing resources next to each of them and also to allow some space for antenna diodes to be inserted as close as possible to them later in the flow. The right choice depends on your design. If you're inserting many diodes (not using the FastRoute antenna insertion flow) or if your design is too congested, you would benefit from a higher cell padding.
