@User I'm not sure if you are the right person, if not please tag who is. I'm replicating the storage macro from Caravel using the new OpenRAM macros and I'm having a bit of difficulty getting the power connected. In the old design, they manually added a long metal4 pin along the side of the memory and then the metal5 horizontal straps are connected to it. In the memory macros, however there is a single metal3 pin. Most power routers will connect this to the power grid, but pdngen doesn't seem to do this because it doesn't overlap the horizontal rails anywhere. So, do I have to make large vertical pins like that?

@Matthew Guthaus I don't think PDNgen will be able to route to it if it is a single met3 pin. PDNgen works by dropping vias where a vertical strap intersects with a horizontal one.
