@User: I need to find another dynamic DNS service. Mine has failing nameservers---three of its nameservers have the correct IP address for me, and the other has the old one and apparently won't update. Apparently they don't respond to help tickets marked "emergency", either.

Is there a software you can recommend so I can host a dynamic DNS service? I'm getting 2 gigabit fiber lines and static IPs provisioned so I will have some good infrastructure to host DNS servers in a couple of months

@Troy Benjegerdes: The best thing to do is to have a modem that supports dynamic DNS. My Verizon FiOS modem used to do that---nice feature. My current Comcast modem does not. I should be able to run a script from my DMZ host but I haven't tried it. My observation has been that when you sign up with a dynamic DNS service, they will suggest what software you should use. It's always good to get something that is compatible with the service.
