So on the presentation today someone mentioned "large files" as a problem. How large do the files get? This seems like a problem easily solved with some infrastructure I'm planning to put in. If necessary I can hand deliver 5TB hard drives to Skywater in half an hour if I'm in Minneapolis or 2-3 hours if I'm at the farm.

for the kinds of designs from the last shuttle at least, it's on the order of gigabytes iirc

the large file issue mostly cropped up because projects were being stored on GitHub which has very strict file size limits

Yes, the issues are (1) the allowed file sizes on github, and  (2) the bloated size of the repository, which was beginning to take quite a long time to clone.

It was mostly the generated GDS that blew the limits.
