Hey all, I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but I'm curious if an archive has been made of the conversations in this Slack channel? I feel the discussions here are an incredibly useful trove of information related to open-source EDA, and only having access to the past 2 months of information seems to be extremely limiting. From what I can tell there have been nearly 145k message sent so far, and 135k of them have been blocked behind the Slack paywall. Has there been any effort to archive messages elsewhere, or discussions of paying for a premium subscription for this community? This obviously wouldn't be sustainable in the long term, as the 2k members in this group would mean a monthly subscription cost in the 10's of thousands.

@mkk @Tim 'mithro' Ansell Would a bridge to IRC effectively accomplish this?

Alternatively, can we move to RocketChat??? Surely someone can stand up RocketChat on a GCP instance.

I find quite irritating that we are developing open source tools for Asic design and we use a payware tool for discussions.

I understand that Admins users can also export all message history from a Slack channel. One thing we might consider doing as we close the server is removing all but the admin users, and then at the last minute paying for a 1 month subscription in order to access all our previous messages for export. The exported data can then be formatted as a readable archive using a script like this: https://levels.io/slack-export-to-html/
