Hi all. Just out of curiosity - when is the final date for this slack channel? I see most of us have moved across to FOSSi by this. I have too, just want to know if there is any point posting anymore questions to various threads here on slack? Txs

Efabless has paid for the slack workspace until April. After that, we can still use slack a free service, but you can only see the last 90 days worth of discussions.

is there a value in archiving/exporting the discussion? I found a lot of useful info.

I see. @Mitch Bailey: How can the discussions be archived and is there a central repository for others to access them? Say for example, some location on FOSSi?

That's the plan! Tim has already made a backup of the data on Slack. It contains the conversations in json format with links to images. The backup by itself is not that big, only about 60MB, but that's still without the images. We are currently looking into preparing the data into a more readable format and fetching the images. I'll post updates in FOSSi Chat.

Note that since I'm an admin but not an owner, I don't have the ability to back up private rooms and private conversations. I am not sure what is the last date I will be able to access all the history, but I will to regular dumps starting at the end of April so I can catch any last conversations.
