Could SkyWater themself take over the efabless service? They are running MPWs on other technologies as well.

I have been talking to the MOSIS guys, since that's still one route to silicon (but a rather expensive one compared to chipIgnite). There are a lot of people right now talking to a lot of other people and brainstorming ways to keep chipIgnite or something like it going. So don't lose heart, stay tuned, and keep in touch!

the chip ignite we submitted 2411, was it submitted to skywater? Or the wafer r scrapped @Tim Edwards

@samarth jain: Wafers from the 2411 shuttle run are about halfway through fabrication. The fabrication has been halted for now until we can figure out a way to get it moving again. Wafers have not been scrapped. However, the 2411 run is the most at-risk because most of the fabrication costs have not yet been paid to SkyWater, and all Efabless assets (including the funds that would have been paid to SkyWater) are currently the property of the receivership company.

It’s a great help we got update. Is it possible to reach out to all customers of 2411 in email loop and we all pay so that wafer can be moved? Those r very critical for us 🥹 @Tim Edwards . We can even pay more if needed to help release . Let’s talk about it?

I think that was more or less the plan that Jeff had, knowing that a lot of people are dependent on that silicon and that finishing the run and getting the chips back to the designers is the best outcome. But everything belonging to Efabless now belongs to the receivership company, so the best we can do is to try to get as much of it back as we can. Please contact Jeff DiCorpo, as he is the one working on several possibilities to get working silicon back.

Yes we did contact @jeffdi, n we know he is working at his best. We understand he must be busy for now . Thanks very much for update
