I understood that it's a derived function which is not visible? I was following a lecture pertaining to drc check which included cif command invocation for via2.

patterns. Try painting a

square and then execute

Thanks, I figured I was painting the wrong layer. I was paining metal3contact instead of m3contact. Its working now.
