@Akash Levy Hello could you please say about this picture AIN if i use steady square pulse and for VC as DAC output will it work as signal multiplier for changing the height of pulses?
a
This is not super easy for me to interpret. Is it possible to connect the signals to make it easier to understand? Also I don’t understand the
switch
component? What is the underlying implementation?
r
Yes I can do that and post sorry about the confusion post . switch is nothing but passgate
a
Pass gates have one input, one select signal, and one output (plus power and ground). I don’t know why there are 3 inputs (
AIN
,
DIN2
, and
NOTIN2
). Can you tell me what each of these signals correspond to?
r
I hope this may help to understand in easy format.
a
Yeah looks good, but I can’t guarantee it. I would make sure to simulate it with some test scenarios to see that you actually have the expected behavior.
r
okay thank you so much
@Akash Levy Hello, could you give any suggestion or resources to study about the signal multiplier for changing the pwm signal height (amplitude) I tried checking my earlier design but didn't work as expected
a
The signal amplitude should come from the DAC. Can you share what exactly is not working as expected?
r
@Akash Levy in the picture there is the explanation of Level shifter how it works and what kind of level shifter I am using I connected DAC output to vdda1 as in the picture but output of level shifter is two terminal when one high always other is low in that case how can I get expected waveform
@Akash Levy could you please suggest the idea for improvement
@Akash Levy?
a
I can’t help you if you don’t share waveforms of your simulations
From looking at your schematic, did you properly connect the body of M4 and M7?
That could be an issue
r
sorry about that. I will give it another try and come back with the waveform results. I didn't save the previous waveform result because it wasn't as expected. Now, I will work on the schematic connection and run the simulation.
a
I also don’t understand why you need 6 transistors in the level shifter. I’ve typically used 4 (excluding inverters)
r
Okay thank you i will try now
Thank you so much it worked

No problem
