Hello, we are trying to do a layout for a university project and we are wondering how we should connect cap_mim_m3 in the sky130 process? On metal 4 (yellow) there is a both a big block and also a thin strip as well. Should we connect the wire to both, only the big part or only the thin part?

@shibu I think the thin part on the right has a via3 connection from metal4 to metal3, right? If so, it’s the connection to the bottom plate - you can either connect the bottom plate to metal4 on the narrow strip, or anywhere else with metal3. The top metal4 plate can be connected with regular metal4.
