I was digging through history on Slack on these errors that I see when simulating NPN devices (xschem - ngspice) and noticed this comment from about a year ago. Should I plan to stay away from NPNs? At a first order the simulations appear to work fine for the NPNs, just that I can't get the multiply - "m" - parameter to work correctly and have to manually place the parallel devices.

There are some parameters not understood by the ngspice BJT model. I am not sure how much difference it makes to the model, but they should be 2nd-order or nth-order effects.

Understood - thank you!
Didn't want to design myself into a hole incase there was something I was missing
