Hello. I am new and trying to start an opamp design in efabless. Of course I have some background in analog electronics and ngspice but i do not know where to start with my opamp in efabless. Can You tell me please where to start? a Tutorial or something like that to start with an analog design in efabless? Thank You very much in advance.

Well Pablo, there is a tutorial made just a couple months ago for efabless

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSZm3q4rUBg

that describes how to make an analog circuit with magic. However, the tutorial is not specific to opamps. I recall being similarly interested in making an opamp in the last year or so, so Googled opamp designs. I came up with a design that was similar to ones I found on the Web. If you want ideas on this, ask again.

There is an earlier video that @Matt Venn made with @Stefan Schippers showing how to use xschem for schematic entry, analysis, and schematic capture. That's the starting point for the layout tutorial. Click on the "Efabless" link next to "YouTube" above to get to the YouTube Efabless channel, then find the video "Analog Design with Stefan Schippers and Xschem". Also, there is a more complete video of me doing the layout on "Op-Amp Analog Layout".

Thank You very much Erik and Tim. I will start my analog designs following Your advices. Thanks a lot once again.
Hello again, Tahnk You very much again for the links to the videos. They are very usefull. I have a new question: I have Xschem installed in a virtual machine in my pc. I have many designs already tested there. The question is how can I upload an ssh file that i have in my pc to an open galaxy desktop in efabless. Thank you very much in advance.

@PABLO ALEJANDRO FERREYRA: If you create a project on your Efabless account, there should be an option to upload a file (which must be in the form of a tarball) to seed the project. If you have trouble with the Open Galaxy platform, you can also submit a Helpdesk ticket.

hello greetings, could someone guide me on how to include the pdk SKY 130A in Magic to be able to build the designs in that technology? I already did the previous steps download OpenLane and the Docker containers but now I don't know how they all interrelate thanks
Hello, I also managed to download the Efabless user proj example and I was able to view the user proj example.gds file in a container and I saw the Klayout example and it seemed fantastic to me, I learned to use the routes to the pdk and openlane but I still don't understand how to do it that sky130 be included in Magic and thus be able to build designs in that technology thanks

@IAN ERIK CONCEPCION ALVARADO: Are you trying to create a digital design or an analog design? Openlane is used for digital designs (although it can be used to route analog blocks as macros, although it does not do so in a way that most analog designers would consider proper). If you are just trying to use magic with the sky130 PDK, then start magic from a terminal command line, and on the Open Galaxy platform the command line should be something like
magic -d XR -rcfile /tech/SW.2/sky130A/libs.tech/magic/sky130A.magicrc
(the directory
SW.2
is the one I'm not sure of; anyway it's
SW.(something)
