extracts m3-m4 mim capacitors as sky130_fd_pr__cap_mim_m3_1
and m4-m5 mim capacitors as sky130_fd_pr__cap_mim_m3_2
. The xschem models match the extracted models.
However, the documentation at https://skywater-pdk.readthedocs.io/en/main/rules/device-details.html#mim-capacitors has
Spice Model Information¶
Cell Name: sky130_fd_pr__cap_mim_m3__base, sky130_fd_pr__cap_mim_m4__base
Model Names: sky130_fd_pr__model__cap_mim, sky130_fd_pr__cap_mim_m4
What about adjusting the model names for clarity? For example, sky130_fd_pr__cap_mim_m3
, sky130_fd_pr__cap_mim_m4

and m3_2
is a mistake that got into the Google repo. It can be corrected if the original incorrect names are left in the PDK as subcircuit wrappers pointing to the same models so as not to break backwards compatibility with existing designs.
