05/20/2021, 4:19 PMThe Xyce team is happy to announce the release of Xyce version 7.3. This release is accompanied by the release of the XDM netlist translator version 2.3.0.
Source code, documentation, and binaries for this release may be downloaded from our web site, https://xyce.sandia.gov/. Downloads of source code and binaries from this site require free registration and a confirmed email address.
As of this release, we are providing binaries for the “non-free” version of Xyce, “XyceNF” --- this version contains a few Compact Model Coalition (CMC) device models that are still under a restrictive license and can only be provided in executable form, notably the L-UTSOI MOSFET model. These models are under a license that prevents release of source code for 18 months after their adoption by CMC, and will be released as part of the open source code when this period expires.
The team is no longer providing binaries of the completely open-source version of the code on our web site, as users who wish to have a binary unencumbered by the CMC license can simply build it from the source code we provide. Details of the license of any Xyce binary may be obtained by executing the command “Xyce -license”.
Source code of Xyce, the Xyce regression test suite, and the XDM netlist translator may be cloned from github at https://github.com/Xyce. No registration or confirmed email address is required to use github.
Please see the release notes (attached) for details of this release.
Thank you for your continued interest in Xyce.
