The two examples where I've needed are: 1. m in the BJTs for a bandgap 2. Slightly different is using a separate ac= value for the resistors for stability analysis, so one resistor with a very high value and ac=very low and vice versa to create 'ideal' DC/AC blocks in ac analysis. In that case maybe a separate bias-T symbol is maybe the best way to go?
